Potted Potter Manila

I was hemming and hawing over watching Potted Potter since the Manila run was first announced; there are so many theatre shows this year and it’s so hard to choose which ones to watch! Last Thursday, however, it was late afternoon when my cousin Dianne and I came across Ticketworld’s Last Minute Tickets promo and we decided, fingers crossed, to head straight to RCBC Plaza after work and take our chances that there were still some seats available.

As luck would have it, we two hard-to-please Potter fans (who have done crazy things in the name of Harry Potter, including but not limited to birthday parties for Harry Potter and Severus Snape and a (combined) growing collection of over 150 Harry Potter books in different languages), both having a bad week and in dire need of a lift, scored half-price orchestra tickets to Potted Potter on the spot!

Hagrid and Hedwig

When I told you about the FFP bowling night last month, I forgot to mention another highlight of my night. There was a toy clearance sale outside the bowling alley, and to my great delight (cue in the squee-ing!), I found new plush dolls for my HP collection: Hagrid and Hedwig!

They were a real steal, considering I haven’t seen these in years, and the prices were quite reasonable, so I scooped them up and marched them over to the counter.

Reading Rampaaaaage! (Part III)

(Continuation. Click for Part I and Part II)

So the Flippers started arriving, and nobody was owning up to their bookish alter ego, as part of the activities was a guessing game of who could name the most characters in the party. We had our scrumptious buffet and our traditional gift-giving, and after we had submitted our finally came to the highlight of the program: the costume competition!

Each Flipper had to  “model” their character down the aisle, get up on the platform and introduce their character. See what the Flippers dressed up as!
