I thought things were going to wind down for me by November, but it’s been busy as ever, especially as we’ve been getting ready for the upcoming Filipino Reader Conference.

See you at the ReaderCon!
It’s time once again for the Filipino Reader Conference, slated on November 14-15 at the Bayanihan Center, Mandaluyong City.
The Filipino Reader Conference is an annual event in support of the Filipino reader, designed to help them discover reading communities they can join, reading materials they would be interested in, and fellow book lovers they can make friends with.
This year’s theme is Readers Turned Writers, zeroing in on the phenomenon of readers who transitioned from consumer to creator, and the steps they took to write and publish their first books.
Vote now for the #FRCA2014
I’m finally back in action after spending the last few weeks in overtime (August was just crayyyyy), and I’m knuckling down to update the blog in this lull before my annual reportage of the Manila International Book Fair sets in mid-September.
Because I have an interview with Alex London in the morning a few hours, so I’ll leave this announcement here for now (*drumroll please*): Public voting is currently ongoing for the 2014 Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards (FRCA).
ReaderCon Report (+ giveaway!)
It’s been a week, but I still can’t believe the 3rd Filipino ReaderCon is over after many long months of preparation! There was, of course, the (now) annual Filipino Readers’ Choice Awards, which ensured our lean, mean, little machine team had more than enough work to do in the last six months, but we were totally excited for the rest of ReaderCon, too!
Ready for ReaderCon!
I’ve been working really hard on my booth for the Book Reco Fair at the Filipino ReaderCon for weeks now, and I can’t believe it’s finally happening on Saturday! Squee! Finally, the work of my poor cramped hands (!) over many sleepless nights will see the light of day.
Here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll find at my booth.
