A peek into my Moleskine Passions Book Journal

And I’m baaaack!

Pardon the blogging hiatus — I’ve been out of town frequently for the past month, not to mention the overhaul I had to do (still not finished!) on the back end of this blog. The new theme takes some getting used to, but it’s growing on me, and I’m too exhausted from trying out several dozen themes and coming up with zilch. I still have to tweak my widgets, but I’m settling on this look for now because it’s eaten up a lot of time I could have spent blogging.

So anyway, I promised to let you peek into my Moleskine Passions book journal when I got it back from Fully Booked after they reproduced it for the Moleskine Passions “Share the Loves of Your Life” exhibit, and tadah, they gladly obliged (thanks Ms. Aimee!).

I stuffed FFP bookmarks into a library book pocket!

This is the first time I’ve started a book journal by hand, and I’m enjoying it  as much as blogging! I’d love to take a look at your own book journals! If you have any blog entries featuring your book journal, please leave a link in the comments section so I can head over to your blog.

  1. Your Moleskine is so beautiful! It makes mine look like crappy receipts haha! Thanks for sharing.

Isn’t the Book Passions just too cool?

  2. Hi Ash! I love the whole Passions line, I’m thinking of getting Recipes also. I’ve always wanted to start journaling, but starting from scratch is so daunting, and the Passions line makes it so easy without cramping your style.

Hahaha, I’d just bought a pack of Staedtler felt tip markers and got carried away!!!

    1. It looks so cool though! I had to come back just to take another look! I just got some colored pencils so I think I might brighten my journal up a little bit. :)

    1. Actually it’s the “industry” part I’m always troubled about when I’m journaling. I just journal when the mood strikes :)

    1. Anywhere that sells moleskine I guess? It was recently launched in Asia so I don’t think you’ll have trouble finding one :)

    1. I have to update this book journal soon! I think I should plot out my journaling schedule throughout the year, like once every quarter. Oh, and I got a new Moleskine 18-month planner (starts July!), now I can log my reading schedule and blogging backlist there.

    1. Thank you Rhett! :D Now if only I had time to update it. Blogging’s taking up most of my spare time.

FFP’s been twice the fun since you and Peter came along :D We have more discussions to look forward to — it’ll only get better! :)

  3. I have kept journals since I was ten, and yes, it is quite an experience that is similar yet uniquely different from blogging. there’s something profound and wonderful about physically “scratching” your thoughts on paper – a journey in itself that will take you places… i have a slideshow on my blog that features pages in one of my old journals ;)

  4. I was lookin’ for some ideas for my moleskine book Journal. you’re journal it’s so beautiful and colorful. Thanks for sharing it with us, i will start my journal using colored pencils.

  5. Waaah, I want this one. I have this sort-of-a-book-journal going on online, and Goodreads serves as the best fir for it, as well as my own personal blog – but of course, nothing beats something that out made out of hand. I’m jealous, thanks for sharing this. Now I’m in pursuit of finding something like this. Do you think I can find one at Fully Booked MoA?

BTW, I’m a new follower and I can’t stop reading. Your blog is superb. I wish I could be like you.

Cheers, for the love of books!
    xoxo,
    Riza

  6. I googled moleskine passion book journal and stumbled upon you’re awesome site. I love to read, and am having trouble as to what I should use the blank pages in the tab section on my book journal. What are your tab sections? Do you have any suggestions for that part of the journal. Thank you so much!

    1. My tabs: Flips Flipping Pages (my book club); Bookish Events, Prize Finds, Published Articles (I contribute to a newspaper), Favorite Authors/Illustrators
