New bunch of bookmarks

IMG_9131

When it comes to bookmarks, my philosophy is one can never have too many. I must have hundreds stashed away all over the house and even at my office, and yet for some reason I still manage to find myself in inopportune moments where I have to use a receipt or a table napkin to mark my place in a book (crazy, right?).

It’s been a while since I showed you bookmarks from my collection, and I realized I’ve amassed quite a few neat ones in the last couple of years, so here they are!

Catching up: The Raven Cycle

Kiss-Wallpaper

Maggie Stiefvater
is best known for her Shiver (“Shiver,” “Linger,” “Forever”) trilogy, but I do think her best work is showcased in her succeeding books, the standalone novel “The Scorpio Races” and the ongoing Raven Cycle, with three books out: “The Raven Boys,” “The Dream Thieves,” and “Blue Lily, Lily Blue.”

Presented by National Book Store and Raffles Makati, the festival features three days of book signings, discussions and panels about books and literature, and the best thing about it is that admission is FREE!

MIBF 2014: Postscript

photo

This post comes to you a couple of days after the MIBF, mainly because I was nursing a sore throat and some back pain (I’d blame the haul, but well, haha I regret nothing!), and I wasn’t fit for company (erm, except for a couple of books stashed under my covers).

Anyway, I’m in recovery mode now so here are some other MIBF moments I haven’t documented yet.
