My 2010 Christmas Wishlist

I’ve spent an inordinate amount of time in the bookstores in the past couple of weeks, and I’ve seen (read: drooled) enough to make up my Christmas wishlist for this year.

I posted my Christmas wishlist last year and was able to cross out around 75% of them, but the list is shorter this year so if I’m just half as lucky, I’ll be very happy.

No pressure on friends and family; the biggest pressure is actually on me and on my willpower to hold out on Christmas splurging!

1) Deluxe hardcover boxed set of (wait, let me wipe the drool off my chin that has been trailing me since I spotted it this afternoon) The Millennium Trilogy by Stieg Larssen

2) The Cardturner by Louis Sachar

3) Reckless by Cornelia Funke

4) The Last Dragonslayer by Jasper Fforde

5) The Ring of Solomon by Jonathan Stroud

6) Heroes of the Valley by Jonathan Stroud

7) World Without End by Ken Follett

8) Fall of Giants by Ken Follett

9) Robert Sabuda pop-up books (except Alice in Wonderland and Wizard of Oz)

10) The Saga of Larten Crepsley by Darren Shan

11) The Monstrumologist by Rick Yancey

Oh, and a Barnes and Noble Nook — but I’ll probably get that for myself! :D

I solemnly swear not to do any more Christmas shopping for myself (I should make progress on my list of presents to give, though) … at least not til Christmas gets here!

How about you, what’s on your wishlist?

    1. Actually hindi pa. I got it early this year pero it’s still in plastic. I’ve been meaning to read it though, maybe over the holidays. I just have to finish some reading challenges for the year.

  1. I’ve been eyeing Reckless for several weeks now. The hardbound price is the only reason I haven’t gotten it yet.

Wala pa rin akong copy nung Bartimaeus 4 at yung Heroes naman ay nasa plastic pa, like most of the new books I got this year. So I guess I don’t have any right to make a book wishlist. Like you, I’ll focus my spendings on other people this season. Hehe.

  2. I am actually holding Reckless as I’ve read this post so I got intrigued and scanned the pages. I’m not really into “dark” stories, but the pages looks so awesome that I want to try reading it. I love the illustrations! :)

  3. Actually I included Reckless in my wishlist and The Thief Lord was the one picked instead…weee…but i’m still thankful..

    Mine will be:
    1. I Am NUmber Four by Pitticus Lore
    2. Reckless by Cornelia Funke
    3. The Eragon Series (which I will really have, O.O)
    4. The Thief Lord (wrapped already, my hunch only)
    5. The Millenium Trilogy (the deluxe edition, i think i will buy this for myself)
    6. the Brothers Karamazov (have seen it in national but quite expensive, can’t see it on a book sale)
    7. any drawing book thingy – found it in NBS but expensive again and I forgot the title…waaaa

a lot of them..i’m just holding myself :)
