This week’s giveaway is a spanking new copy (still sealed!) of the Encyclopedia Mythologica pop-up book Dragons and Monsters!
Check out the previous blog post to check out the inside pages!
The Mechanics:
1. The raffle is open to all blog readers with a Philippine mailing address.
2. To enter the raffle, tell me why you want to win this book in the comments section of this post.
3. Entries will be accepted until Monday, May 2, 6 pm, Manila time (It’s a Monday this time because my return flight is on Monday afternoon).

The raffle officially opens as soon as this post is up.
Good luck!

OMG! meeee hahaha i want that pop up book, i don’t have any robert sabuda book yet and this one look pretty awesome! :D
Of all the pop-up books I own, I love the Robert Sabuda books best! :) Thanks for joining, Pergy!
I want to win this as to give myself an early Birthday gift!!! :DDDD
advanced happy birthday ella! will make some bookmarks for you :)
it looks really neat! at first glance, I thought you made it!
I wish!!!
Oh my, I would like to join this giveaway because reading you earlier post about this made it want it so bad! Ahahaha! :D
Well, being a horror fan myself I’m really fond of monsters and I quite adore that pop page page of the Yeti, while dragons have been a part of childhood starting with Smaug from the Hobbit, boosted by the movie Dragonheart and bolstered by the unusual dragon mythology by Raymond Feist’s fantasy books mainly the Rifwar Saga series — besides, I’m born in the year of the Dragon meself, so I need I say more? Ahahaha! :D
Thanks for hosting this giveaway, Blooey!
hmm. now that you mention your fondness for monsters, I realize I’m pretty neutral about them… I like vampires though (but I don’t love them), but only the non-sparkly kind
because it may get me start reading :)
oh hello mr. sugue! :)
I want to win because I was born in the Year of the Fire Dragon, so they are extra special to me! :)
that made me consult the chinese zodiac on my earth year — fire dragon sounds so nice compared to stupid wood rat.
Me! Me! Maybe I’ll start collecting pop-up books. Or I can give it to my husband to help him to start reading.
Hahaha I just had to text you that Mr. Sugue joined!
Wow! I wanna win, too!
I’d also love to have to have a pop-up book and start collecting! Love the colors! ^_^
Yeah, the colors are characteristic of Robert Sabuda’s works :)
I really want pop-ups book. At least it can bring me the essence of being a child again. My mother already throw my pop-ups. If I win this raffle, at least, I will have again.
yes, being a child again — that’s exactly how I feel about them :)
I would love to join because I do make 3D toys whenever I have spare time on my hands. I already made two (Hurley of lost and a drummer named Cobus) and the patter of the mascot for cut the rope is waiting for me to be cut and built. If I don’t win it means I must concentrate on doodling first. Hehe.
Blooey, you have the one of the most unique and fun giveaways I have ever seen.
That reminds me to try my hand at 3D toys too. I have an instruction book on how to make them, with 3D toys to build inside. I really should open that book already!
i want to win this because
1. i like monsters. especially the really big ones.
2. there’s a popup of my favorite cryptid, Mokele-Mbembe (whose name is awesome!)
3. i fixed a copy of this book just yesterday. figured out how the medusa head works in the process. and now i want a copy of my own!
:-)
Napansin ko rin, may trick sa pag-close so it lies flat.
Moi Moi! I won’t write a telenovela why I deserve to win basta I love pop-up books!
Though I love Mr. Sugue’s post =)
Hehehe, if I had to choose among everyone who has a good reason to win this book, I’d go crazy! Lucky the randomizer does the job for me! :D
I want to win the pop-up book because:
– The pop-up in the page looks interesting and colorful, I wonder how to properly open and close the pages
– I want to have a pop-up book to add something different from the books that I have
:) they do look great on the shelves!
I don’t have any pop up book, so I want one!
:D
Also, I am amaze on how pop up books work. Just think about how they plan the pop ups.
check out my previous post, there’s a book about pop-up mechanisms :)
A perfect gift for my little brother. :)
Haven’t seen Marco in so long! What grade is he na? :D
I love Pop-up books – the elaborate things that goes with it – never ceases to amaze me. . I also have a small collection of pop-up books and your give away will give a boost to my collection. Keeping my fingers crossed. :D
I want to win this giveaway because well, there is no other reason for it but that this pop-up book is uh-may-zing!I could turn to stone just looking at Medusa. And I am a huge mythology fan as well and that includes mythological monsters. Do you have all the Encyclopedia Mythologica pop-ups? Are they all as stunning as this one? :)
I don’t have the other volumes… yet! Planning to hunt down the rest :)
Because I can’t even attempt to make a pop-up book, so i’d just like to play with it please? To release the inner child. Yay!
I should bring this to quiz night one time :D
i started to like reading because of how much the visual stimuli of the book covers and inside illustrations appealed to me. id love for my tiny nieces/god children to discover passion for reading by luring them with pop up books!
It works! I love pulling out pop-up books when kids come to visit!
