Fandoms unite this weekend at Fandom Fest at the Manila International Book Fair, bringing together the Philippines’ largest fandoms: 501st Legion, Catscratch Club, FightSaber, Hogwarts Philippines, Justice PH, Portkey Events, Rebel Legion, The Mythology Class by Arnold Arre, The Philippine Tolkien Society, and Westeros Philippines.

FandomFest at MIBF Book Swap

Do you want a chance to discover a new book? Do you want others to read the ones you’ve come to love? Come and bring your books to the FandomFest at MIBF Book Swap!

Just bring a book to the Fandom Fest Activity Area at the 3rd flr of the SMX MoA. Wrap it up for a bit of mystery, and write clues of the synopsis and genre on it!

Strictly one book in, one book out. :D Are you ready to explore more worlds?

The Mythology Class Talk and Q&A with Arnold Arre

Want to learn more about the gang of The Mythology Class from the author himself?

Manila Critics’ Circle National Book Awardee Arnold Arre will be regaling us with a talk and presentation on this genre-breaking graphic novel and his other works on September 17, 2:30 p.m. at the Meeting Room 7, SMX MoA! There will also be a Q&A and a book signing at the FandomFest at MIBF Activity Area at 1 p.m. Reserve your seats for the panel via the link below!

Arnold Arre is a Filipino comic book artist and animator whose other works include Trip to Tagaytay, Martial Law Babies, Ang Mundo ni Andong Agimat, and After Eden. The Mythology Class is slated to be adapted into film, with Heneral Luna Jerrold Tarog as director.

Geeky Debates with CatScratch Club

Fans have a lot of feelings and we want to hear your side! Can you use your geekery to compare and contrast fictional worlds? Can you cite sources to support your stand? Do you need to exercise your debating skills in the service of your fandom?

Who would give better love advice: Wonder Woman or Black Widow? Which one would you save: Edward Cullen or Christian Grey? Who would solve the case of Extra Judicial Killings, Batman or Sherlock Holmes?
