Alyson Noel in Manila

Just came from dinner at Cafe Juanita with YA author Alyson Noel and the lovely folks of National Book Store (and Powerbooks), who have brought her over to Manila to meet and greet her fans and talk about her latest book, Fated.

Alyson Noel is a prolific NY Times bestselling author, most famous for her Immortals series (Evermore, Blue Moon, Shadowland, Dark Flame, Night Star, and Everlasting) and Riley Bloom series (Radiance, Shimmer, Dreamland, Whisper). The multi-awarded books are translated in 37 languages and have sold over 6 million copies worldwide. Both series are optioned for movie adaptations.

On the last leg for this region of her worldwide book tour, fresh from Australia and Singapore, Alyson Noel will be at Powerbooks, Greenbelt 4, TODAY, July 20, 6 pm to promote her latest book, “Fated.”

I’ve read Fated and thought it was quite interesting, and I got to interview Alyson tonight over (a very Filipino) dinner, where we traded Judy Blume memories, stories about our recent trips to Singapore, the Spanish influences in the Philippines — one of my most personal author interviews thus far! I’m transcribing the interview, but it should be up this weekend, so come back again to check it out!
