Let the wild rumpus start…

… for children’s book author, illustrator and luminary Maurice Sendak, who passed away today.
MAURICE SENDAK (June 10, 1928 – May 8, 2012)
“And an ocean tumbled by with a private boat for Max
and he sailed off through night and day
and in and out of weeks
and almost over a year
to where the wild things are.”
I’ve been enthralled by Maurice Sendak’s work since “Where the Wild Things Are” was read to us by the school principal in grade school. Two decades later, his books are no less magical to me than they were to my pint-sized self.
Thank you for the stories, Mr. Sendak.
You will be remembered.
